I love to tell the story of how I tried to write my memoir when I was 11. Eventually, my mom got sick of me following her around, loudly narrating her life or finding me hiding in closets trying to hurriedly scribble down what was happening outside the door. That was the end of my memoir, but only the beginning of my love for all things written.
The world around us is changing, so I call it like I see it. When you work with me, you get a no-holds-barred, best of my ability piece. I believe in giving it to you straight and going above and beyond your expectations. Life has taken me on many unexpected turns and taught me many lessons.
I spent six years as a Nuclear Electrician in the US Navy. As I worked to rise in the ranks, I learned that relationships are as important as work so treat everyone with kindness and respect. I was given first-hand experience in the importance of deadlines, miss them and you can hold up operations throughout the ship (and also really piss off your commander who will exact revenge at his earliest convenience). It was those years in the Navy that gave me the life experience necessary to truly spin a story (and my were there some stories!). these skills helped me to work my way up to the position of Electrical Supervisor of Forward Reactor Plant. How many people can say that?
Motherhood has taught me more about life than I ever thought possible. It taught me to savor each fleeting moment, to open my heart and mind to new possibilities and pushed me to be the best version of myself.
When you work with me, you get the benefit of all of these things: solid work ethic, high quality work, and good old fashion communication. Whether I am your Virtual Assistant or your go-to Writer, I always over deliver.
